Expand Borders

In 2020, the Brazilian dancer, choreographer and art director Cristina Perera together with German art jeweller and ethnographer Martina M. Dempf, started a project on modern dance and contemporary art jewellery.

The intention of this project is to expand borders, transcend concepts, experiment and experience new dimensions, shapes and forms.

Since the beginnings of humankind, the unity of dance and adornment is an essential matter to most cultures worldwide. Throughout the ages, body art such as painting or piercing as well as jewellery creations have always decorated bodies performing dance rituals and festivals.

With these timeless expressions in mind we decided to entitle our project and production company TRANS-FORMA DREAMS.
